I have some fun spring inspiration up over on the Papermilldirect blog showing you how I made this fun card to welcome in the Spring. Head on over to see how I made it. Super simple, and a great one for using up those scraps – you know that is my favourite crafty past time!
I have a fun card to share from a Papermilldirect project today. I made a fun Easter scene with some fun stamps and dies and some lovely colours of Papermilldirect card. I used:
- Papermilldirect White Hammered Card
- Papermilldirect Baby Pink Card
- Papermilldirect Apple Creen Card
- Papermilldirect Buff Card
- Papermilldirect Pale Turquoise Card
- Papermilldirect Plain Teal Card
- Papermilldirect Marine Blue Card
- Papermilldirect Daffodil Yellow Card
- Annabelle Stamps Easter Chick stamps and dies (discontinued I am afraid but there are similar out there)
- Whiff of Joy Fence Die
- Silhouette Cutting Machine Grass Cut file
I started off stamping out lots of the eggs and chicks and carts on a selection of colours of card.
I used the coordinating dies to cut out these pieces, but you could of course hand cut.
For the eggs I cut and paper pieced some of them so that they were multi coloured groupings rather than all the same.
I created my scene on a piece of the white hammered card, using a mix of glue and foam tape for dimension.
I then added this onto my card and called it done. I love how happy and cheerful it looks, perfect for Easter greetings!
I made a birthday card for a friend recently who is a keyboard player. So what better a card to give him than one with keyboards on it?! I used the Rockin’ Instrumental stamp set from Annabelle Stamps for this. This is really one of my go to stamp sets, I know so many musicians or music lovers, I will never stop getting use from it! I made the card nice and masculine using black, grey and red. I think the torn paper edges add a nice bit of texture and ’embellishment’ while still keeping the card nice and masculine….
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a good day!
The challenges over at Annabelle Stamps are going monthly – which means I have so much more time to play along! This month to kick it all off is challenge AC171….
I really took this theme to heart on my card! I black heat embossed the guitar stamp from the Rockin’ Instrumental set on some white card along with a sentiment from the set. Once embossed I splattered red distress ink over it trying to colour the guitar in the process. I created a black card base and splashed this with white Dylusions mist. Once all was dry I cut down the white panel and used a punch to create ticket stub edges on the bottom. I adhered this to the black card base and added some faux stitching to the top of the panel. Some chipboard stars inked up in grungy silver finished it all off.
Thanks for stopping by today, hope you are having a great day!
I love the Annabelle Stamps challenges and this weeks one is a gorgeous colour challenge for AC169….
I pulled out some American Crafts card stock. My card base is white card. The red on it matches the dark red on the colour inspiration quite well in real life, the flash on the camera distorted the colours a bit. I worked the green and orange in through the distress inks on the panel and also on the orange card mat and on the orange tulips. The tulips are stamped from the Easter Blessings Annabelle Stamps Set. I fussy cut the flower head and the leaves and glued them all on.
There are also some grass stems stamped from the All Things Grow set. The sentiment is from that set too, and is stamped with Rusty Hinge distress ink to try match in with the colours.
The gingham ribbon is from Annabelle stamps as are the pumpkin orange sprinkles on the butterfly and the edge of the card too.
Right, enough talking from me, hope you enjoy the card and make sure to check out Annabelle Stamps challenge!
I found some time again to play along with the challenge over at Annabelle Stamps. These have to be my favourite challenges out there! This time its a sketch and I love the simplicity of it….
I used the All Things Grow set to create my take on the sketch….
I die cut the circle from the green card and created a small scene on some white card using distress inks for all my stamping. I love the delicate images in this stamp set. I created a scalloped frame on the circle too. I added some sparkle to the butterflies as you can see in the close up below. I added two coca sparkles from Annabelle stamps too.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you are all having a good week so far!
Its anything goes challenge time over at Annabelle Stamps Blog. I have been trying to have fun crafting and enter their challenges again but have been so busy I have not gotten a chance to. So it was great to just have fun, break out my Annabelle supplies and create this card. I used up lots of scraps from my desk too so it was an added bonus! I used the Easter Blessings set for the frame for my image. I then used my favourite All Things Grow set to stamp the butterflies.
I inked these in two tones of distress inks and misted them before stamping on watercolour paper. I then fussy cut out the frame and painted it with distress inks to match my background papers. I used a gorgeous wood grain paper on kraft card. I used some of the super cute Annabelle Gingham Twine and created a faux bow. I added some Pumpkin sprinkles then too.
Oh and I stamped the sentiment in grey beside the butterflies to make it subtle and make sure the butterflies and frame shone.
Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed!
