I recently had to make a wedding card and matching gift box for a friend in work. She was going with a slight Gatsby/art deco theme for the wedding so I went with that style for the card. I used the Framed Toppers 4b and 1c cutting files from Monicas Creative Room and tag cutting file from Birds Cards for the focal point. The black and white card was from Papermill Direct, it is my favourite card to use in the Silhouette. The gold sheen paper is from my stash, I have no idea where it came from, sorry!
Here you can see a full view of the complete card, with a good idea of the gold colour. It is not too brash gold which is nice. It does have a nice sheen off it which you can’t really get in this image.
Here is a close up of the matching box, I made a simpler version of the card to go on top of this, just to tie it in, but to match it enough. I used the same card and papers on it.
You can see them both side by side here. You can also see some of the sheen off the gold card on the lid of the box. It is hard to capture on camera, but it does exist, I promise!
I typed the sentiment for the card and printed it and cut the shape out and mounted it on the black label design. I think it is very elegant, and very Gatsby looking!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the look at this project as much as I enjoyed working on it!
