I am stopping by with a different post than usual today. I am doing the Flora Womens Mini Marathon on the 2nd June 2014. I am doing it in aid of the DSPCA (Dublin Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). I have chosen to support them as they are an invaluable support to abandoned and rescued animals who desperately need our love and support! That and they are very dear to my heart – that is where we got this little ball of fur from….meet Binky….
About the DSPCA:
The Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is Ireland’s largest, most progressive and innovative animal welfare organisation. Every year we rescue and rehabilitate thousands of sick and injured domestic animals and wildlife and place them in loving homes or return them to the wild.
We treat the animals that come into our care like our own family. We do all that we can to ensure a healthy and happy life for pets and wildlife. This philosophy is at the core of all that we do from medical treatment and rehabilitation to standing up for the rights of neglected and abused animals by lobbying for improved legislation and prosecution.
Without the DSPCA so many animals would get no chance in life, just like our Binkey!
I am using a mycharity.ie page to collect my donations. You can donate using the “sponsor me now” button on the page via credit or debit card. You can be assured that your transaction on the mycharity.ie website is very secure. You will automatically receive an e-mail thanking you for your support, and acknowledging the amount of your donation. Any donation no matter how small is hugely appreciated and makes a difference…
