I took part in another swap recently and my swap partner and I agreed that anything goes! I really enjoyed altering a brush recently for another swap so wanted to make another one. My partner said she was not a very pastel colours type of girl. So I tried going with a more classic colour combination. Copper and black is a very striking combo. It can tend to be a bit masculine but I think I managed to give it some feminine touches! I painted the brush and used a crackle stamp on it to give a more aged effect. I painted the bottom of the bristles black. I then painted and distressed up some flourishes and a butterfly, all made from grungeboard. The letter E got painted black.
I glittered up the letter E and the wings. I glued down some book paper and the flourishes and then added the E and the wings with as much dimension as I could. I added a little scroll made of book paper and tied with some ribbon too.
