Giving Thanks….

Hi All,

I am stopping in today with a little tutorial for 2 Cute Ink stamps featuring the Cute Turkey image.

Step 1

Cut a piece of orange card stock (American Crafts) to 10.5cm wide by (4 1/8”) x 28.4cm (11inches) long. Score this in the centre and fold in half to make your card base.

Step 2

Cut a panel of white cardstock to 10cm (3 15/16”) x 14.2cm (5 3/4”). I used a white cardstock that is pre-embossed with a Woodgrain pattern. Die cut a circle from this panel on the bottom right corner.

Step 3

Place foam tape on the back of the white panel. You will need to cut it to size for around the edge of the circle cut out. Stick this panel onto the orange card base.

Step 4

Colour the Cute Turkey image from 2 Cute Ink. I used Inktense pencils for mine. I used baked earth, burnt orange, tangerine, mid vermillion and chili red.pic 4

Step 5

Place some tape or wet glue adhesive on the bottom half of the turkey and some foam adhesive on the top tail feathers of the image.

Tuck the turkey into the circle cut out on your card, I cut the legs off my turkey as they were not going to be seen. The tail feathers will stick out all around the circle then and the foam pads on  the tail feathers will pop them up from the card

Step 6

Using coffee archival ink I stamped my sentiment onto a strip of orange card. I angled the end of the strip for some interest.

Step 7

Add this strip onto the card and add some gemstones for a bit of sparkle.
