Mark my….page

This is just a quick little bookmarker I made for my dad. He loves reading and I take after him big time in that sense. He always uses a bookmarker though. Where I use….anything that happens to be near me, a straw, scrap of paper, bank card, or just (eek) fold down the corner of the pages!!

I kept it simple and flat so that when he uses it his book will actually close with it in it! I had great fun using my new embossing powders – my first time heat embossing.  I embossed the script in clear powder, then inked up the bookmarker. I then gold embossed a stamp at the bottom and embossed the bird too. I added a TH charm. Is my dad wonderful or is reading wonderful? Both :)

2 minute card?!

This was made following the sketch over at Clean and Simple stamping – number 100, well done guys!! Could it get any cleaner or simpler? :) Forget about 10 minute card, this was barely 2 minutes. Well only because my wonderful hubby was on hand to help me tie the bow! Im ashamed to say I would still pick Velcro shoes over shoe laces any day. I tie my laces in a very strange way, so trust me, you never want to see my bows!!
