Rhino

This male rhino had his horn cut off because he killed the female elephant in the safari park. The male elephant was angry at this and killed the female rhino as retaliation. Who says humans are bad? The safari park got the rhino another female. The elephant has not got a new female yet because he is gone really bad tempered. His favorite past time now is shredding tractor tires. Those are some seriously big tires to shred. You don’t want to get on his bad side!!

Up for sunrise..

I wish I could say this was the sunrise from this morning, but the truth is the sun has not yet risen. It is pitch black out, no moon or even stars. And its cold. COLD with capital letters, brrr! The pic is from a morning safari in South Africa.  Up at 5am in the dark to go look at wild animals. So worth it!!

Im up so early as I dropped J to the airport for 4am and could not go back to bed when I got home, sigh. At least im catching up on all my work now though. I may even wrap up warm and go take some sunrise pics!

Dont mess with the buffalo!

Picture taken in suffocating heat and blinding sunshine (really really bad light to try photograph in) in a safari park in Spain. It was hotter this day then when we were on safari in Africa. You could see the animals just felt like crap. At least we could buy ice cream to try cool down. This guy needs a shave and parasol!

Incidentally I would not be the one who would try to provide this, not after watching this video!! The video is a bit long, but stick with it and you will see some awesome stuff. Now if we all followed the example of the buffalo herd in the video we could get rid of the government and put someone in charge who could actually run a country well. Where are those pigs when you need them?
