The lovely people from NTL came along today and installed some tv and some broadband into my house, yay. Since we first moved out we havnt had TV. Thats nearly 6 years of no telly! The last place we rented had tv for about 4 months. Then we bought our house and we went back to having no tv. People are quite incredulous when we say we dont have tv. No phone, no running water, no roof, these things would seem acceptable to some people, once they have tv. So we are officially no longer “weird” people. We now conform. And how do I celebrate? By using the internet and leaving the telly turned off!
My shiny new 10mb internet
I can watch vids on you tube, upload pics and just generally surf the web without effort now! It no longer makes a difference to my internet connection if its raining or windy outside. It just works, woo hoo!!
Todays pic is one I took a few years ago of some freaky giant fungus in the Botanic gardens with my little Olympus mju point and shoot. I have to say fair play to that little camera, as it is still going strong 5 years later! The weather resistant body has held up to some pretty extreme Irish weather conditions. It came rock climbing with me all the time and survived. (Even when it had a little fall from half way up a cliff face, thank god for protective cases!) Go little mju, all 4mega pixels of you!!
