Supervising

picking mussles in dingle black and whiteThis picture was taken down in the town of Dingle on the west coast of Ireland. It was taken at full zoom, I was far over the other side of the bay from the two people in the picture. I was watching them for a while, trying to figure out what they were doing.

From what I could make out, the elderly gentleman down on the beach was sifting through washed up seaweed, gathering something, I have no idea what. Perhaps mussels? The other elderly gentleman up on the grass bank was supervising. By this I mean watch the back breaking work taking place and occasionally pointing to another promising looking pile of seaweed.

Life is good when you are a supervisor!
