
Ok so these two pics ain’t the most technically perfect, a little soft and noisy. But sometimes I think a technically imperfect image works if you manage to capture something a little bit different. If it means something to you then as far as I’m concerned that’s what matters. I don’t take pictures for other people, I take them for me. I do like other people to enjoy my images though. But sometimes the subject matter don’t grab everyone!
In the first image above is my old Syrian hamster QT (r.i.p), licking the bars of his playpen. The second image (below) is our little dwarf hamster Daisy making a determined break for freedom, showing some impressive climbing technique.
Both shots involved me lying on the kitchen floor for quite some time with the camera pointed at the little critters. They move so much faster than my finger can push the button that I kept missing lots of the funny things they were getting up to. The dwarf hamsters are lightning fast.
